Connecting with Characters
Reading Response Question for the week of October 4-8
What character, in any book you've ever read, reminded you the most of yourself? What about that character is like you?
I have always loved the book, Anne of Green Gables. The main character, Anne, is an orphan, who is a talkative and outgoing person who always tries to see the bright side of things. Like Anne, I love to talk and I always try to look for the positive in a bad situation. Anne always makes lots of embarrassing mistakes, and unfortunately, so do I!
I like Amelia Bedelia books. The main character is Amelia Bedelia. She has a hard time following directions. She thinks she is following the directions but she is not. She tries her best. She reminds me of myself. I try my best but mess up some times. I don't mean to mess up but I do. Just like Amelia Bedelia.
I have always loved the series Judy Moody. Judy is the main character and she goes on all these fun adventures. Judy is like me because she has an annoying brother so do I.
I have read Froggy Plays Soccer, it is most like me because Froggy try's and try's in soccer like me, and makes goals. In my game of soccer I hit the ball with my head like Froggy did. Froggy likes to play soccer as much as I do.
I’m reading a book called Shredder Man 3 - Meet the Gecko. The main character is Nolan Byrd and he is like me because we both have the same first name, we both like computers and he tries to stop bad people from bullying others. I don’t like bullies either. He reminds me of myself and I hope I can help others just like Shredder Man.
I'm reading the first book in the series Diary of a Wimpy Kid and I feel mostly like Greg because when he went trick-or-treating he thought he didn't get enough candy. That's usually how I feel when I go trick-or-treating.
The great book that I am reading is called Clarice Bean.The main character is Clarice.She is always worrying about things before they happen such as her best friend Karl Wenberry getting in big big trouble because of Clem Hanson.I am like her because I worry about things more than I should.
I have read a book called Amy(not so great)at campout. I'm most like the main character Amy. I'm most like Amy because shes not so great at camping with her girl scout troop. Amy is not so good at the activities they do just like me. I go so I can see my friends and do the activities just like Amy. Amy and I still have fun. Now you know which character I'm most like in the book Amy (not so great) at campout.
The character I like most in a book is Junie B. Jones, in Junie B. Jones Party Animal. I like her because we are both party animals. She likes to party and so do I. She likes to get dirty and so do I.
I read a book called Bubba and Beau Best Friends. Bubba reminds me of me because when I was a baby I had a dog that I really loved and we did everything together. Bubba is from the country and so am I. His Dad has a truck named Earl and my Dad has a truck, too.
All the character like to sleep and so does my mommy and when I sleep with my mom it feels like a dog is thumping me when my mommy kicks me off her bed.
I read Goose Bumps Horror Land Series Monster Blood For Breakfast by R.L. Stine. The character Matt because he goes through a lot of trouble and so do I.
In the book Dinosaur Cove by Rex Stone Jamie reminds me of me. He loves to explore, discover things, and figure out mysteries. I like these things too.
I have read the pain and the grait one. I reaminded of my life because 1 I have a brother that is a pain.2 I'm 2 years older than him.3 he is in 1rst grade.That is it.
The Cafeteria Lady from the Black Lagoon Mike Thaler.This book reminds me of the first time I ever boughtlunch at school.I thought that the lunchlady would be mean, and the food would taste really gross.When I went to the cafetria to eat lunch I found out that the lunch lady was nice,andthe food was really good.
The book Rainforest Ride reminds me of myself. The character Frog has to carry it's baby tadpoles on it's back. Just like the frog in the story, I have to carry things on my back such as my dog Annie and my guinea pig Apricot. I've been carried on my Mom's back and my sister Abi's back when I was 1 through 4 years old.
I read a book called Super Fly Guy. Fly Guy reminds me of me because he was small and wanted to play tackle football. I am also small and want to play tackle football.
Randall, the main character in the book called The Hero of Third Grade reminded me of me because I want to be friends with everyone and I also like to help out in class.
The book I am reading is junie .B.jones and the stupid smelly bus The character is Junie B Jones. I think she is most like me because she fells uncomfortable in small places. She never gets embarrassed.Thats why i think she is like me.
I read the book Horrible Harry and the Mud Gremlins. The author is Suzy Kline. In the book they find stinkhorn mushrooms. This reminds me of my life because we have all sorts of mushrooms in our backyard. From the regular white mushrooms to the red gross ones
I am reading the book Dinosaurs Before Dark. There is a boy in the book named Jack who wants to see a real dinosaur. Jack reminds me of myself because I want to see a real dinosaur too.
In the book If You Give A Mouse a Cookie the mouse loves chocolate chip cookies and milk. I am just like the mouse because when I have a cookie, I always have to have milk with it.
The story Im reading is No,David.It is about a naughty kid who doesn't listen to his mother. Im like this person because I sometimes don't listen to my mother.
Im reading a book called my dog buddy. By David Milgrim. Buddy reminds me of my dog Angel and Noel because Buddy never does what he is told to do and my dogs are the same way. They dont listen and get into trouble just like Buddy. by AJ
