We LOVE Books!
Reading Response Question for Week of February 14- 18 WE LOVE BOOKS! Everybody has a favorite book or two. What’s yours? Tell us why you love the books you do. Perhaps you can persuade a friend to read one of your favorites!
One of my favorite books is actually a series of books. It is called the Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. There are 13 books in the series and all of them deal with three orphans who are trying to stay out of the evil clutches of Count Olaf and his associates. I love the vocabulary in the books and the weird and twisted plots. The first one is called The Bad Beginning. Try it- you’ll love it!
I love nonfiction animal books because I LOVE animals. I love to learn about them. One of my favorite animal to learn about is horses. If you LOVE animals like me I would recommed nonfiction.
My favorite series of books are about a colorful pig named Mercy Watson and all the trouble she causes just being a pig. My favorite book in the series is called "Mercy Watson to the Rescue". It is when Mr. and Mrs. Watson bed falls through the floor when Mercy gets in it. Mercy saves the day by going to the neighbors and getting them to call the Fire Department. Mercy is always getting in trouble in her search for toast with butter. You really need to read these books, they are great!
If you want to read a book that will make you laugh, read "Alvin Ho. Afraid of girls, school, and lots of other stuff." I love books that make me laugh out loud. If you like to do that to, I suggest you read this hilarious book. My favorite part is when he got in trouble. Alvin said, "I like it when my dad calls me son. At least sometimes."
The book that I LOVE is Shredder Man because it is a series. Shredder Man always trys to find clues about whats going around in the town he lives in.This is a really good series so if you like super heroes you should proably pick Shredder Man.
I love reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid. There are 5 of these books so far and one of them you can create a diary about yourself called Do-It- Yourself Book. The stories and pictures are funny! If you want a book that any average kid can relate to, this is it.
Kailey said.... I am reading the Diary of the Whimpy Kid The Last Straw. I LOVE this book because I think it has funny parts like when Rodrick got a tattoo that said "Loaded Diaper". I can also make text to self connections about some of the stuff Greg writes about. I also LOVE reading about volcanos from Pompeii. I think volcanos are awesome and scary at the same time. I recommend that you read a Diary of a Whimpy Kid book and see if you can make a self to text connection. I also recommend that you read a book about something in nature like a volcano. Those books are so cool.
I like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series because there is a kid named Greg who goes through alot of stress and is positive that one day he will be rich and famous. But his little brother Manny gets all the credit that he should be getting. There are alot of funny cartoons too. You'll like this book because it is fun to read.
My favorite books are the Warriors series written by Erin Hunter. The best parts of the series are the fights between the different cat clans. These fights are usually because of territory disagreements and stealing. They have their own religion called the warrior code. They also believe in the Star Clan. They believe each star in the sky is one of their warrior ancestors that have died. It is a very interesting series. I think you would like this series too if you would try it.
My favorite book is Bubba and Beau Best Friends.I like this book because it has two friends who share the same things. They both like a favorite blanket and the reason they love their blanket is because it smells just like each other. Its a story of a boy named Bubba and a dog named Beau. There are other books about their adventures. I think the best part of the book is when the blanket goes missing and they finally get it back from the washer. They say it smells just like Bubba and Beau.Thats why I love this book.
My favorite book of all times is the Austere Academy by Lemony Snicket. I love this book because it is full of mischief and very good vocabulary words.It is about the Baudelaire children went to a academy and when the children went into the calfiteria no one was talking and they had to listion to the ruckus of their directer.My favorite part is when the directer told the Baudelaire's that if they got in trouble they would have to eat their lunch in a puddle. I also liked when Sunny had to get a job as a administrative assistant. I recomed the book to people who love to laugh.
My favorite book series is Percy Jackson Series. I like these books because they are fiction and have some stuff about the Greek Gods and their kids. There are two people names Percius and Annabeth and they are accompanied by a Satir called Grover. They go on quests to slay monsters. They get trained at a place called Camp Halfblood where they learn how to go off and live in the regular world with monsters attacking them. It is a series of books that are very exciting and I would recommend parents to read them to your kids if they are 6 years old and up.
I really liked reading the Mysterious Benedict Society to my boys. It was fun and full of riddles for the 3 smart kids (the main characters) to figure out. The kids were plucky and funny. Mister Benedict was neat too and narcoleptic at the worst possible moments. The main girl character was super resourceful and strong.
One of my favorite books is Green Eggs & Ham by Dr. Suess. That book makes me laugh. I have read it ever since I was a baby. The book is about Sam I Am trying to get the Cat to eat green eggs and ham. The Cat finally eats them and likes them. That is one of my favorite books.
My favorite book is Big Cats. I like Big Cats because it has facts about lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards, and other big cats. It is a non-fiction book with lots of information in it about big cats. So if you love big cats you should read this book.
My Favorite book is "Sideways Stories from Wayside School". I love it because of all the funny actions in it. My favorite chapter is chapter nineteen because there is no chapter nineteen , it skips this chapter. I also like it because i didnt have to read it and i dont like reading. I recommed the book to people because it is very funny and our whole school has read it.
My favorite book is Horton Hears a Who because that is my last name. I like it because it is about an elephant named Horton and he tries to rescue a town named Whoville on a clover. It has alot of animals that are after Horton cause they think he is crazy for talking to a clover. You need to read the book to see how it ends.
One of my favorite books is Calvin and Hobbes it is a series of books and they are very funny.It is about this little kid named Calvin and his stuffed tiger named Hobbes.Calvin thinks Hobbes is real and they both get in to trouble.
My favorite book is the funniest kid in the world because its really funny but sometimes he can make people feel bad by making jokes about them! But always in the end he works thing out by getting on his hands and having 2 pieces of paper and writing on the 2 pieces of paper Im sorry and they feel so much better and so does he!I think that u should read this book someday!
My favirote books are Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. There are several of books in the series. I like it because it is about Gregs day at middle school with his friend Rowley. Greg thinks that Rowley is a little kid because Rowley plays in little kid ball pits and does other things that make Rowley a little kid. All of the books are very funny and you will love each and every one.
My favorite book is "The Fire Within". It is my favorite book because a girl, her mom and a tenant try to find a squirrel named Conker. I think this will be a good book for someone who likes squirrels and dragons.
My favorite book is Bear Stays up for Christmas by Karma Wilson. I really enjoy this book because bear has lots of friends that want him to stay up for Christmas so that he doesn't miss it. Bear's friends fall asleep but he doesn't. Bear makes gifts for his friends while they are asleep. And this is why I like this book.
Alexus H Jenny B Jones at Last is my favorite book. I liked this book because she so funny and needs glasses. You should read this book because Jenny is hilarious just like me. Jenny B Jones books are like real life.
My favorite book is Judy Moody goes to college .Judy gets a cool tutor.Judy rode in her tutor's red car all the time.My favorite part is when Judy and the tutor go to the coffe shop
I like information books. One book I like is a book called Motorcycles! It has facts and pictures of many different kinds of motorcycles. It has one that looks like a rocket which is the fastest motorcycle in the world.
