Welcome to Third Grade!

Your teachers are eagerly awaiting your arrival in just a few more days! We are excited about meeting you and your families at the Open House on Thursday, September 1 at 6:00. Don't forget to bring your school supplies with you!
How are you feeling about being a third grader? Do you have any questions about the upcoming year?

  2. I am feeling great! I can't wait to see what we do in Science and Social Studies. Is there an SOL Study Group? What kind of Reading Groups are there?

  3. There is an SOL study group that meets, but that doesn't start until later in the year. We will have three to four different reading groups per class, and we will be reading some books based on the interests of the group, so we will be discussing that over the next few weeks. You will love what we study in Science and Social Studies. I enjoy learning about the ancient civilizations and also the anoles (very cute lizards). It is so cool! See you tomorrow!

  7. Skylar,
I guess you know that you already have a numbers project due on Friday. We will also be incorporating technology into a research project we will be doing later in the year. We will be discussing what interests the class has and work from there! Glad you are enjoying third grade.

  11. Charlotte,
I would love to watch you present your project, but I will be teaching my other class. You will have to tell me about how well you did! We will be displaying the projects in the hall, so we will all be able to see them!
